Terry Quinn Marshall Sr., 75, of Columbia City, passed away at 5:55 a.m. Saturday Aug. 17, 2013, at his residence.
Born Aug. 30, 1937, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Overton Quinn Marshall and Evelyn Margurite (Huegenard)Murray.
He graduated from North Side High School with the Class of 1957.
On Feb. 28, 1958, he married Sharon Cook at Trinity United Methodist Church. He worked for Indiana-Michigan Power for 33 years, retiring in 1995. Terry has been a Columbia City resident since 1973. He was a former member of I.B.E.W. in Fort Wayne and also enjoyed his gardening, family and home.
Surviving relatives include loving wife of 55 years Sharon Marshall of Columbia City; children, Brenda Starkey of Warsaw, Tenison (Mark) Stone of Prior Lake, Minn., LuAnn Marshall of Millington, Tenn., and Terry Marshall Jr. and Gary (Danita) Marshall both of Columbia City; adopted son, Dave (Sherry) Slater of Edon, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry (Penny) Marshall of Churubusco and James Murray of Hartsville and two nieces. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Sherry Swihart.
To honor Mr. Marshallâ€™s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
