LARWILL (Nov. 18, 2013) - Locally based luxury casual furniture manufacturer Three Birds Casualannounced today the company has completed relocation of its headquarters facility to the former Larwill High
School building at 414 E North Street in Larwill.
“We continue to see significant opportunities to grow our company,” said Three Birds Casual president Tad Varga, “Our new location provides a better configured and larger space for us to manage all of our operations.”
Three Birds Casual was established in 1999 by owners: Victor Lewis, Kim (Lewis) Varga, and Tad Varga. Since then, the company has grown from a small regional teak furniture supplier to a well-known and
respected brand name in the luxury casual furniture industry.
The company’s high-end teakwood and wicker furniture is sold through a network of online distributors, retail stores and contractors to customers throughout the United States, Canada and in resort locations such as the Caribbean.
Columbia City-based Reiff Construction, Inc. redeveloped the Larwill facility into 15,000+ SF of flexible manufacturing, office, and warehousing/distribution space. With more room for expansion, the new facility serves as the company’s main office, housing sales and marketing, as well as warehousing and distribution.
The Larwill Town Council approved a two-year vacant building tax abatement to support reuse of the facility.
“On behalf of the Larwill Town Council, we are pleased to support Three Birds Casual locating in our community,” said Larwill Town Council member Lore Wolfe, “Three Birds Casual stands apart as a locally
owned, locally grown company that reaches global customers from their base in Whitley County.”
In addition to the Larwill location, Three Birds Casual also has facilities in Indonesia where the company utilizes premium government approved plantation teakwood, and permanent showrooms at Merchandise Mart
in Chicago and AmericasMart in Atlanta.
