Tony L. Gaff, 91
Tony L. Gaff, 91, of rural Larwill, died at 5:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 at Parkview Main, Fort Wayne where he had been admitted Nov. 21.
He was born April 6, 1919 in Whitley County, a son of Harry H. and Viva (Pippenger) Gaff. He spent his formative years in Churubusco and graduated from Churubusco High School.
On April 9, 1944 he was united in marriage to E. Louise Hively, they made their home in Jefferson Township.
In 1944, he also began his career at International Harvester, Fort Wayne. An office worker, he retired as a materials manager in 1981. In 1989, they moved to their present home outside of Larwill. He was a member of First Church of God, Columbia City.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 66 years, E. Louise; two sons, Stan Gaff of Larwill and Ron (Jenny) Gaff of Quezon City, Philippines; two daughters, Rosalind (Eugene) Klingaman of Columbia City and Jeanette (Joseph) Jordan of Columbia City; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Marilyn Hull of South Whitley and two half-brothers, Garland Link of Waterloo and Everett (Cheryl) Link of Phoenix, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Toni Elaine Norden and Linda Lou Gaff; two brothers, Wilbur and Herman Gaff, and a half-sister, Bonnie Link.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with Pastor Tim Grable of Sugar Grove Church of God officiating. The burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to International Graduate School of Leadership, a Campus Crusade for Christ ministry.
