Tournament time; local athletes fighting to keep their seasons alive

October 19, 2011

While cross country’s post season is in full swing, several area teams are preparing for sectionals this week.
Cross Country: Whitko’s boys, along with Columbia City’s boys and girls teams, will be competing Saturday at IPFW in the semi-state meet.
Teams that place in the top five will advance, along with runners that place in the top 15 individually.
Volleyball: Columbia City’s, Churubusco’s, and Whitko’s volleyball teams’ sectionals begin Thursday night.
Columbia City will take the short trip to Carroll to face Fort Wayne North Side at 7:30 p.m.
