FORT WAYNE â€” A pedestrian was struck by a Three Rivers Ambulance Authority (TRAA) Supervisor vehicle early Friday morning in Fort Wayne.
According to a press release by the Fort Wayne Police Department, police were called to the scene of an unknown problem.
When officers arrived, they found that a pedestrian had been struck, and the driver, a paramedic, was rendering medical aid to the victim.
Though he was conscious, the victim was transported to the hospital in serious condition, which was later changed to critical condition.
According to the FWPD, investigation revealed that the man was involved in a domestic dispute with a female inside a vehicle on East Brackenridge Street.
According to witnesses, the victim exited the vehicle and began jumping on the hood of the car.
After he got off of the car, the woman left the scene, and according to witnesses, the man jumped in front of the TRAA vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation by the FWPD.
