TREACHEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS

February 5, 2014

WHITLEY COUNTY (Feb. 5, 2014) -- Reports of at least 8 inches of snow fell in Whitley County since 5 p.m. Tuesday. Those making the trip into work are reporting some drifting on county roads and U.S. 30 has drifting in spots. Area media reports say even I69 is snow covered. These points of drifting are added to already slick road conditions. That is one of the reasons Whitley County is under a Travel Watch Advisory. Emergency officials are asking that travel be restricted to work and for emergency vehicles.
