September 26, 2012

COLUMBIA CITY — Two Columbia City Tree Board members were reappointed to the board at Columbia City’s Common Council meeting Tuesday.
“There are two tree board members who are up for reappointment,” said Mayor Ryan Daniel to the council. “One of them is Gloria Banker, the other is Ken Lundquist (tree board president).”
The board approved the motion to reappoint both members.
In other business, the Salary Range Ordinance was passed.
According to the ordinance, Indiana Code requires the mayor to fix the compensation of each appointive officer, deputy and other employees of the city departments, excluding police officers and firefighters, prior to Nov. 1 for the subsequent budget year upon the approval of the council. No major changes were made to the ordinance.
