February 9, 2014

With snow piling up on snow, Columbia City street crews seem to be working nonstop to remove the white stuff from city streets. Pictured are city employees working to haul snow from downtown street corners to various locations out of the way of drivers. Chief of Police Tim Longenbaugh is reminding residents who live in Columbia City to comply with the city’s ordinance and keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice. Assistance may be available for elderly or handicapped residents by calling Community Corrections at 248-3133.Emergency officials also ask that snow be removed around fire hydrants in case of an emergency.
