TWELVE YEARS: Tun is sentenced for fatal crash in April

COLUMBIA CITY — A Fort Wayne man will spend 12 years behind bars for his part in an April crash that killed a three-year-old boy.
Mya Tun, 52, of Fort Wayne was given 12 years by Whitley County Circuit Court Judge James Heuer on Monday, a sentence he will serve in its entirety, for charges connected to an accident April 29 on U.S. 24 at Ind. 114 in South Whitley County.
In that accident, Ethan Hoffman, 3, was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to the plea agreement, Tun pleaded guilty to three counts of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury, a Class C felony and operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, a Class C felony.
