Victoria Hanes, 50

Victoria L. “Vicki” Hanes, 50, of Huntington, passed away Monday, May 23, 2011. She was born April 15, 1961 to Doug and Judy (Koons) Bowyer. She worked for the United States Postal Service for the past 17 years and most recently as a Postmaster in Yoder and Bippus.
Surviving family include her husband, Dan Hanes; daughter, Amanda Hanes; step-son, Matt (Shannon) Hanes; parents, Doug (Judy) Bowyer; brother, Dave (Jill) Bowyer; grandmother, Patricia Koons; mother-in-law, Carolyn Springer; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling hours will also be from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
