Foul play not suspected for man found dead at park.
By CHRIS MEYERS Staff writer Local and state police investigated a death Saturday morning at a Columbia City park. At about 9 a.m., the Whitley County Coroner was called to the scene at Baker Park on a report of a man being found dead, according to the coroner’s office. Upon arrival, police and investigators found a man who had died by an apparent hanging at the pavilion at the park. According to the coroner’s office, the death likely occurred in the early morning, and officials believe it was self-orchestrated without foul play. A nearby resident reported the incident.
