By Chris Meyers Staff writer An Albion man who allegedly tested nearly four times Indiana’s legal limit for a driver’s blood alcohol content caused a three-car wreck Saturday afternoon on U.S. 33. According to the crash report, 23-year-old Glen J. Rosswurm was northbound on U.S. 33 north of Churubusco when he crossed the center line and hit the front left tire of a southbound pickup truck, which caused the tire to pop. Rosswurm’s car continued north and rear ended a car in front of him that had slowed to make a right turn onto county Road 750 East. The driver of the pickup truck, 59-year-old Thomas W. Cameron of Fort Wayne, told police that Rosswurm’s car was “all over the roadway” as it approached the intersection. Rosswurm appeared to be “very intoxicate,” according to police. He had a blood alcohol content of .302, according to a portable Breathalyzer test given at the scene. Rosswurm was charged with operating while intoxicated and operating while intoxicated per se. According to police, he refused to submit to a chemical test once he was transported from the scene. The third driver involved, 50-year-old Daniel L. Reed of Churubusco, told police he slowed to turn onto county Road 750 East when he was rear ended. No injuries were reported.
