Man killed in morning crash |

A local man was injured and another man killed in a single-vehicle accident early this morning.
According to police reports, Earl Coppock, 30, of Albion, was traveling northbound on County Road 900 East shortly after 2:30 a.m. when he apparently lost control of his vehicle and struck an REMC utility pole. Coppock was killed, while his passenger, Columbia City resident Allen Taylor, 39, sustained only minor injuries.
The accident left several residences without power, and REMC was called to the scene.
The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the accident.
