’Busco robbery was planned Print E-mail
Friday, April 25 2008
By CHRIS MEYERS
Staff writer

More details have emerged on the attempted robbery at the CVS pharmacy in Churubusco, including evidence that the suspects planned the crime in advance because the license plate on the get-away vehicle had been covered.
According to police reports, a young white male wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans with a red bandana or cover over his face walked up to the pharmacy drop-off counter and demanded prescription pain medication.
The man said he had a gun and told the pharmacist he wanted two different strengths of OxyContin and similar medication, according to police.
Upon hearing the demand, the pharmacist walked to the other end of the counter, picked up the phone and told the would-be robber that the police were being called.
The suspect then fled the store in a small, silver SUV, but the plate had been covered so no further information could be gained.
Police continue to investigate the incident.

ISMS student allegedlypulls penknife on bus
An Indian Springs Middle School student allegedly pulled a penknife on a fellow student during a confrontation on a school bus this week, according to police.
According to the report completed by the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, two boys got into a fight on a bus, and one pulled a penknife and began to poke at the other.
Police said one student did have a small puncture wound on his hand as result of the confrontation.
The report will likely be forwarded to the Whitley County Probation Department.
