Vivian Mohler, 89

FORT WAYNE — Vivian G. Mohler, 89, of Fort Wayne, died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011 at Golden Years Homestead, Fort Wayne where she had been a resident since Oct. 3.
She was born Aug. 13, 1922, in Harrington, Kan., a daughter of Homer B. and Hilda Mae (Magley) Reider.
As an infant, her family moved to Columbia City. She graduated from Columbia City High School.
On March 2, 1941 she was united in marriage to Elmer E. Mohler.
They made their home in Columbia City until December, 2001 when they moved to Fort Wayne.
Mr. Mohler preceded her in death March 31, 2002.
She was employed at LML, Weatherhead and Kroger. She also volunteered at Heartland Hospice, Parkview Hospital and Dupont Hospital.
Her memberships included American Legion Post #98 Auxiliary.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Jill Machinena and Vicki (Michael) Runda, both of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Laura (Mark) Schultheis, Manolo (Stephanie) Machinena, Tim (Jackie) Kintz, Dr. Anne (Dr. Mario) Alcantara, Carly (Jon) Duwall and Nathan (Lisa) Runda; and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her step father, Raymond Mangan and a brother, Ronald E. Mangan.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
The burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. The visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
