COLUMBIA CITY — Youth volunteers helped Whitley County Marine Corp Toys For Tots prepare their warehouse in preparation to gather toys for needy families in the area.

On Saturday, some members of the Columbia City Eagles football team helped the Leatherneck Coffee Club Marines move tables and supplies from storage to their warehouse.

On Sunday, National Honor Society students helped Toys For Tots get the warehouse ready for volunteers to come in and pack toys for families that have signed up for assistance.

“Each of them came prepared to work and stayed until the job was done,” said Assistant Coordinator of Whitley County Toys For Tots Roxy Hagans.
“We can be very proud of how our youth displayed themselves and worked hard while volunteering a few hours of their weekend for Whitley County Toys For Tots.”

Toys for Tots has barrels throughout the county to collect toys which will be distributed to children at need.
