COLUMBIA CITY — by 11 a.m. today, Whitley County Clerk of Courts Debbie Beers described voter turnout as steady throughout nine precincts tallied in four voting locations.
"The absentee voting was very, very light," she said, reporting 185 votes in through mail-in and walk-in absentee voting.
Columbia City residents are voting for the Republican candidate for mayor between Don Sexton, Ryan Daniel and Gary Parrett.
The winner of the election today will square off against unopposed Democrat Cathy Heritier in November.
