WCSC revisits construction plans

May 31, 2013

PIERCETON — A project hearing has been set for Whitko Community School Corporation that will begin the process of two major construction endeavors for the district.

Discussion will continue on building a new Pierceton Elementary School and remodeling the existing South Whitley Elementary School at a meeting set for June 17 at 6:30 p.m.

At the May school board meeting, members heard from Superintendent Steve Clason on a proposed building project.

According to Clason, the idea of building is one that began with a committee in 2011 that developed a long-range plan for the district’s facilities.
