Approximately 250 feeder calves went through 4-H weigh-in Saturday at the Whitley County Fairgrounds. 4-Hers also had the opportunity to put their animals through dehorning, castration and vaccinations — all necessary before the 4-H fair in July. Pictured above is Courtney Johnson, 10, a second year 4-H member, with her two feeder calves, Mike (left) and Spot. “They’re going to be mad at me after today,” Johnson said, after her animals were dehorned.
