Schaefer supported by DYW co-coordinator

February 24, 2014

Hannah Schaefer, a senior at Columbia City High School, represented Whitley County in Kokomo recently at the state Distinguished Young Woman program. Placing in the top ten, Schaefer had “great poise and grace on stage,” according to Pam Thompson, the county’s co-coordinator.

In September of 2013, Schaefer was named the DYW for Whitley County, which qualified her for the state stage. As part of her time in Kokomo, Schaefer presented a vocal piece for her talent and participated in a fitness routine and on-stage interview. After her week at the state event, Schaefer was greeted at a party. Approximately 50 supporters came to the Whitley County Community Foundation to congratulate her.
