Whitko baseball falls to Northfield

Whitko’s baseball team suffered a difficult loss to Three Rivers Conference foe Northfield Tuesday night, 11-2.

The Norsemen are 3-1 in the TRC and Whitko drops to 2-2.
Northfield took the lead early on, scoring four unanswered runs in the second inning.

Whitko scored one of its two runs in the top of the third, but the run was negated by another Northfield run in the bottom of the third frame.
After a scoreless fourth inning, Northfield tacked on another run in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 6-1.

Whitko scored its second and final run in the top of the sixth, but the Norsemen went on to score three more in the bottom of the sixth to make the final score 11-2.
