Whitko falls after late field goal

ROCHESTER — Rochester handed Whitko’s football team another heart-breaking loss this season with a 20-17 win Friday.

The Zebras scored off a 24-yard field goal attempt with 25 seconds left on the clock after the score was tied for more than 16 minutes.

Tanner Hughes had 26 yards on eight carries, and second-string quarterback Trevor Gilbert was 2-for-2 in passing for 19 yards.

Connor Stouder caught two passes for 12 yards. Skylar Fugate led the team in tackles with 14. Gerding and Alex Stoddard recorded 8.
