DENVER — Whitko lost its first Three Rivers Conference game of the season by one point Friday night at North Miami, 14-13.
Unfortunately for the Wildcats, a last-minute spark in Whitko’s offense wasn’t enough to take the win.
With the Wildcats down 14-7 and less than three minutes left in the game, Whitko’s defense had its hands full. Literally.
Defensive tackle Andrew Warren caught an interception to give the Wildcats the ball on the North Miami 32-yard line.
Quarterback Alex Stoddard and Austin Mort went to work on an under two-minute touchdown drive in an attempt to tie the score.
