LIGONIER — Whitko’s volleyball team saw its season end against West Noble in a sectional quarterfinal Tuesday.

The Lady Chargers beat the Lady Wildcats 25-15, 22-25, 25-21 and 25-19.

“(We) could not put together consistent strings of points to beat an enthusiastic West Noble team tonight,” said Whitko Volleyball Head Coach Brandy Smith.

Smith said the season did not end the way the team wanted it to, but she is happy with the progress of the team and excited for the future of the volleyball program.

Among the milestones in 2013 was a nine-win season, the most by any Whitko volleyball team since 1998.
