Whitko H.S. student has sights set on Denmark

April 4, 2014

SOUTH WHITLEY — Hannah Bredikhin, a student at Whitko High School, is set to spend her junior year of high school in Denmark.

Bredikhin is the next outbound exchange student supported by the Columbia City Rotary Club. She joins a long list of other local students who have had the privilege of studying abroad.

“I’ve always been interested in other cultures,” said Bredikhin. “This seems like a natural thing for me to do. I’m not really worried about being in a foreign country. I am excited to get there.”

Bredikhin is set to leave in August and will be gone until July, 2015. She said she “loves” European food, and is anxious to taste the many delicacies in Denmark.

Bredikhin’s father, Alexandre, is originally from Russia. His perspective has given Bredikhin some insight into what her life may be like in Europe.
