WABASH â€” Though Whitkoâ€™s 35-0 shut out win over Wabash may not have been pretty, the Wildcats advanced to 3-0 in the Three Rivers Conference Friday night in Wabash.
In a game full of penalties and fumbles, the Wildcats still managed to post 342 yards offense and relied on their defense to hold Wabash to sub-100 yards.
The game had 12 penalties, six from each team, totaling 95 yards.
Whitko gave up the ball three times to fumbles in the first half.
â€śWe had trouble hanging on to the ball,â€ť Swender said. â€śIn the second half we controlled the ball better and made some good things happen.â€ť
