WHITLEY COUNTY: EDC brings American Dream to 2014 outlook

COLUMBIA CITY — Having residents, not boards, as bosses was the theme of the Whitley County 2014 Outlook Meeting Monday.

Business leaders, elected officials and other stakeholders gathered to help the Whitley County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) note its achievements for the previous 12 months and recognize businesses that have invested significantly in the community.

Featured speaker Ed Burghard, CEO and Manager of The Burghard Group, LLC challenged business and community leaders to focus on enabling employees and residents to achieve their American Dream, based on research using the American Dream Composite Index (ADCI), developed at Xavier University.
