WARNING LEVEL ISSUED FOR COUNTY

Whitley County Commissioners, Whitley County Emergency Management, Has issued the following statement concerning travel within our County.

A “WARNING Level Travel Advisory” has been issued at 6 a.m. until further notice.

A Warning level advisory may be declared when county roads have become impassble and County Highway Department is not able to keep the county roadways cleared due to extreme weather conditions such as a severe snow fall. High drifts or blizzard like conditions are present. Travel has been restricted to emergency response workers ONLY and essential emergency travel by members of the public (i.e. Health Care Workers)., emergency situations, etc).

Roadways are snow covered and drifted shut in places.
