Wildcats look to win homecoming
SOUTH WHITLEY — After an 0-2 start, Whitko’s football team has put its struggles in the past with a three-game winning streak.More importantly for the Wildcats, the three consecutive victories have all come against Three Rivers Conference (TRC) opponents.Whitko has scored 138 points in the three wins, including a 51-7 road win against Wabash last week.Now, the Wildcats will welcome Northfield to the confines of South Whitley in an effort to move the streak to four in a row and stay in the hunt for a conference championship. The Norsemen are on a two-game skid. They started TRC competition with an impressive 38-0 win against North Miami, but fell to Rochester last week and lost to Tippecanoe Valley 34-32 last Friday.Northfield got the duke one year ago when these two squads played, beating the Wildcats by a final score of 27-21.
