William Smith, 76

KEYSTONE — William G. Smith, 76, of Keystone, Ind., passed away at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton.
He was born Sept. 5, 1935, in Larwill, the son of the late Robert and Mary Eloise (Smith) Smith.
He graduated from Larwill High School with the class of 1953.
Mr. Smith married Linda Smith in 2000 at the Son Light Wesleyan Church in Bluffton.
He was a co-owner of Midwest Florist Supply in Fort Wayne, where he started as a teenager and was in the floral business throughout his life.
Mr. Smith was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, rural Columbia City and a member of the Son Light Wesleyan Church in Bluffton.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Louise Smith of Keystone; his first wife, Carolyn (Wolfe) Smith; daughter, Patti (Dan) Kaiser of Los Angelos; daughter Linda (Charlie) Barber of Auburn; son, Jeff (Barb) Smith of Peculiar, Mo.; son, Steve (Chris) Smith of South Whitley; step daughter. Stephanie Monroe of Bluffton; step daughter, Kimberly (Scott) Schreiber of Bluffton; sister, Connie Gradeless of Columbia City; brother, Jerry (Ruth) Smith of Simpsonville, S.C.; sister, Jane (Larry) Williamson of Leipsic, Ohio; sister, Amy (Eric) Wagner of Rapid City, S.D. and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Ted) and Mary Eloise (Smith) Smith.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 4490 W 200 S, Columbia City.
A Service to celebrate Mr. Smith’s life will be held at Oak Grove United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 with the Rev. Jeff House officiating.
