Woman charged with drug dealing near school

COLUMBIA CITY — A woman who was arrested during a recent drug sweep throughout Columbia City is facing a Class A felony drug charge.

Tara N. Christopher, 31, of Columbia City, was arrested Feb. 14. She is charged with dealing methamphetamine by manufacture within 1,000 feet of a school, a Class A felony.

Class A felonies are punishable by up to 50 years of incarceration, with a minimum sentence of 20 years.

Christopher is also charged possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of paraphernalia within 1,000 feet of a school and maintaining a common nuisance.
