WONDERLY SENTENCED: Man accused in death of baby girl gets 10 years

COLUMBIA CITY — A man who was arrested on drug charges and accused of neglecting a dependent will serve 10 years behind bars.
Travis A. Wonderly, who along with Janel M. Creech was blamed for the death of Creech’s 5-month-old daughter, pleaded guilty Nov. 16 to manufacturing methamphetamine and neglect of a dependent resulting in death.
On Monday, Wonderly was sentenced by Whitley County Circuit Court Judge James Heuer to 10 years in prison, to be fully served.
A Jan. 3 incident occurred resulting in the death of five-month old Taylor Creech.
Janel M. Creech, the child’s mother, pled guilty Aug. 15 to the same two charges and was sentenced Sept. 12 to 16 years.
According to initial reports, Wonderly and Creech had been smoking methamphetamine earlier in the evening on the night in question.

Jerry u didn't get to hold ur daughter because u were in jail for stealing to get high. If u recall u didn't want to help Janel get formula for the baby, or anything for that matter. U didn't care then so do play the woe is me.

10 years for murder is unheard of. 5 years off for good behavior, a couple of time cuts a killer will be back on the streets in 3 to 3 and a half years. Is that justice? Taylor never was able to see her first birthday or be held by her father. Does the court take any of that in considertion? It's a proven fact that a meth head will get out and do it again. One can only hope that them 3 short years he will serve will be horrible for him.

The whole situation is sad but Jerry u were not there!! Remmember?!?! I do. U didn't even want to help her get diapers. U were in jail for stealing so u could get high. I feel sorry for all involved but don't play to woe is me.

How in the hell can two people that kill a baby ? Get less time then some one that has sex with a teenage person. While they are doing drugs and make then with a BABY in the house. I am not taking side just asking a Q. If Judge Heuer has given that baby the justice,the baby was only FIVE mouths old..Wake up JUST asking A Q.
