A CHRISTMAS CAROL: Fort Wayne Civic Theatre to hold auditions

Staff Writer

Director Phillip Colglazier, Choreographer Gary Lanier, and Musical Director Eunice Wadewitz seek a large cast including many children roles for "A Christmas Carol" — the musical. Ensemble roles will be double/triple cast. All must be able to sing, dance and act.
Auditions for adults will be held at Arts United Center Sunday, August 21 at 5 p.m. and call backs will be held Monday, August 22 at 7 p.m. Enter from the back of the Arts United Center to check in. All adults auditioning should be prepared to perform an upbeat song (32 bars) and provide sheet music in the proper key for the pianist provided. Everyone should be prepared to sing and dance at the initial audition and stay the entire time listed above.
Auditions for children will be held at Arts United Center Tuesday, August 23 at 5 p.m. and call backs will be held Wednesday, August 24 at 5 p.m. Children will be emailed a short piece of music from the show to learn for auditions. Contact Eunice Wadewitz at 260-422-8641 Ext. 226 to sign up and for children to receive the audition piece of music.
Auditionees should bring a list of all conflicts — the fewer the better in order to be cast.
