COLUMBIA CITY — Typically people in Whitley County would not associate 4-H with life inside the city limits.
However, Marley Heritier is breaking the stereotype of 4-H being just for those that live in the country.
She became involved in the 4-H program while growing up within the city limits of Columbia City.
Marley is in her second year of 4-H, and is the daughter of Christian Heritier and Cathy Heritier.
She attends Mary Raber Elementary School where she is a fourth grader. She has one older brother, Julian, who is in his fourth year of the 4-H program.
This year, Heritier’s 4-H projects include rabbits, feeder calves, poultry, gift wrapping, flowers, arts and crafts, cats and rabbit poster.
Living in the city, Heritier was not able to keep her 4-H projects at her home.
