Editor’s note: The following is a series highlighting unique jobs and activities held by area students during the summer months.
COLUMBIA CITY — Kirstie Crisp will soon don a cap and gown and graduate with the rest of Columbia City High School’s Class of 2013.
However, while others go off on summer vacations and senior trips, Crisp will be starting her career — in cosmetology.
“I had visited colleges and I knew they that they wouldn’t work for me,” Crisp said. “Cosmetology is something that I love. Why would I do something that I didn’t love just to conform to everyone else?”
It was approximately six months ago that Crisp made the decision to devote her life to making people look their best.
