COLUMBIA CITY — The Whitley County Farmers Market has been a mainstay for many years.
The market provided fresh produce and an array of crafts for people interested in healthy-food alternatives as well as unique crafts that have been custom-designed and made in Northeast Indiana.
Chris Lilly, head market master for the last four years, was the guest speaker Tuesday at the Columbia City Rotary Club meeting.
He was joined by Jane Loomis, an organic farmer who provides fresh produce and food products at the market.
The Farmers Market is located on the Courthouse square Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Vendors have paid for the $60 permit to bring their crafts and food items to offer for sale.
The food items range from fresh, baked bread to honey and vegetables of all kinds.
