SOUTH WHITLEY — On June 1 Keaton Anderson, Whitko High School senior, was presented the Signature Giving Vocational Scholarship award.
He was chosen from several entries sent in from all three Whitley County High Schools who were seeking vocational training. Each applicant had to write an essay including where they see themselves in five years and how their future profession will make Whitley County a better place.
“Keaton was the clear winner,” stated Tina Houser, Signature Giving Board of Director President.
“His essay painted a clear picture of his love for Whitley County and his future plans for web design,” which was the suggestion from his mentors at Willie 103.5 where Keaton currently interns.
Keaton is a huge lover of sports, yet he was never able to participate due to being born with very low muscle tone.
