COLUMBIA CITY — Nearly 10 months after his initial arrest, an 18-year-old will stand trial for attempted murder.
Dakota Kimbler’s trial has been rescheduled for Oct. 1. It was originally set for June.
Kimbler was arrested Dec. 9 of last year. He was charged with attempted murder, receiving stolen property and carrying a hand gun without a permit.
Kimbler had allegedly escaped from the Pierceton Woods Juvenile Facility and hid in the back of a car owned by Johnny Couch, South Whitley, who was working his shift at Paragon Medical.
