COLUMBIA CITY — A Fort Wayne man had his pretrial release revoked by a district judge due to his alleged role in thefts in Whitley County.
Dax Shephard, 42, was a member of a motorcycle gang that was indicted for racketeering in November.
He was released under court supervision.
However, his pretrial release was revoked due to alleged thefts in Columbia City.
Through his job as a repairman, Shephard had access to the pharmacy at Kroger in Columbia City. Inventory checks revealed 400 hydrocodone pills were missing, and witnesses had spotted Shephard in that aisle of the pharmacy.
Columbia City was not the only location Shephard was alleged to have worked at as a repairman.
Stores in Mishawaka and Plymouth also reported missing pills.
Shephard was just one of more than 40 members of the Outlaws, a motorcycle gang, to be indicted.
