COLUMBIA CITY — Hay is stacked, show boxes are set, ice cream machines are working, the show barn is prepped — and the Whitley County 4-H Fair begins today.
Officials say this year’s animals were moved in Thursday without a hitch — figuratively.
“It was a nice, cool evening,” said Dave Addison with the Whitley County Extension Office. “The weather made it less stressful on the animals.”
In previous years, passers-by would consider taking a different route of travel on Lincolnway Thursday, because of the mile-long back-up of trucks and trailers.
