COLUMBIA CITY — The Buyers’ Support Club is taking donations of any size from individuals and businesses who want to help support a 4-Her by purchasing a livestock project.
Over the last seven years, the club has purchased 57 animals and supported 55 4-Hers, spending $6,275 on those projects.
The Buyers’ Support Club works by gathering donations from anyone who wants to support local 4-Hers. Donations are then pooled together to help buy 4-H livestock projects at the auction.
You are invited to celebrate a Whitley County tradition for more than 89 years, the Whitley County 4-H Fair, and support the 4-H Livestock Auction by joining the Buyers’ Support Club.
The Buyers’ Support Club was created to enhance the support price for participants in the 4-H livestock auction. The club exists to help individuals, businesses and 4-H alumni become a part of the livestock auction tradition.
Contributors to the club do not need to attend the auction to participate. A Buyers’ Support Club committee will determine how the donations will be allocated to best benefit livestock auction participants.
