COLUMBIA CITY — A Columbia City teenager acknowledged her role in a methamphetamine deal that took place in April.
Rita Elswick, 19, pleaded guilty to dealing methamphetamine in Whitley County Circuit Court Monday.
Elswick’s plea was part of an arrangement that will see three other charges against her dismissed. Sentencing will be to the discretion of Judge James Heuer.
Dealing methamphetamine is a Class B felony, which has a sentence range from 6 to 20 years. Elswick will be sentenced Sept. 16 at 9 a.m.
Elswick was arrested with Warren Goodman, Jr. Both participated in the same deal. Goodman was given a 10-year sentence, with eight to serve in at the Indiana Department of Corrections, earlier this month.
