PIERCETON — Whitko’s Board of Trustees were updated on several important areas within the district.
Superintendent Steve Clason had spring testing results to report. According to Clason, the goal was for a 70 percent passing rate in the math competency.
However, Pierceton Elementary School scored well over 80 percent in English, reading and math.
“Kudos to Pierceton,” Clason said. “They really focused in hard on this, and we are really pleased with the results. If we ever get clear results from the ISTEP+ testing, I expect the scores will be the same.”
Clason gave board member a run down of class offerings at Whitko High School.
