COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County’s 4-H Fair came to an end with the annual auction on Thursday.
Fair officials have estimated an auction total of $368,668, but anticipate that number will increase as final numbers are tallied.
The auction featured animals from 4-Hers with bidders who not only look to take home quality animals, but also view the auction as a chance to support the 4-H program.
“What a lot of people don’t realize is that so much of the money helps 4-Hers,” said Fair Board President Cathy Heritier. “These kids use that money for their future projects as well as money for college.”
