COLUMBIA CITY — A woman accused of selling drugs out of a hotel room pleaded guilty in Whitley County Circuit Court Monday.
Arethra Wheeler, 32, admitted her guilt to maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony. A charge of dealing a Schedule II controlled substance was dismissed.
Wheeler was arrested in September of 2012 for using and selling drugs from a room at the Budget Inn, where she was residing.
As per a plea agreement, Wheeler will receive a two-year sentence for her crime, with one year to serve at the Whitley County Jail, and another year suspended.
Her attorney, Bart Arnold, said Wheeler had at least one prior felony on her record.
Sentencing will be Aug. 19 at 11 a.m., at which time Judge James Heuer will officially decide whether to accept the plea agreement sentence or not.
Krystal Thornsbearry pleaded guilty in court Monday to dealing a Schedule II controlled substance.
