COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City’s Board of Works and Safety, as well as the Common Council, are expected to discuss the possibility of a school resource officer at tonight’s meetings.
Dr. Pat O’Connor, Superintendent of Whitley County Consolidated Schools, said at the board meeting last week that the district is heading up the county’s School Safety Commission, which includes all three of Whitley County’s districts.
Currently, Smith-Green Community Schools is working out a budget for their own school resource officer.
