COLUMBIA CITY — Registration remains open for those students looking to attend T.R.O.Y. Center, an alternative eduction program.
Although the school accepts students throughout the 2013-14 year, the deadline to apply for the School Choice Scholarship is Monday.
Nikki Trier, T.R.O.Y. Center’s administrator, said the scholarship could possibly cover the complete tuition fee of approximately $5,000.
However, parents need to be in touch with T.R.O.Y. Center as soon as possible in order to register by the scholarship deadline.
“There is still time to take advantage of the scholarship,” Trier said. “We can make it happen before the deadline, but parents need to call to set up an intake appointment.”
For students referred by partnering school districts, the tuition is covered by funding offered to each student through the state of Indiana.
However, at the moment Whitko Community School Corporation is the only Whitley County district that refers pupils to T.R.O.Y. Center.
