CHURUBUSCO — Churubusco’s football team has outscored the opposition 98-6 so far this season.
The Eagles hope to move to 3-0 when they travel to Prairie Heights Friday.
Prairie Heights picked up its first win last week over Fairfield by a score of 32-14 after falling to Lakeland in week one.
Churubusco won last year, 42-0, and in 2011 by a 30-0 margin. Still, Coach Paul Sade said his team is not taking the game lightly.
“We’ll have our hands full, that’s for sure,” he said.
Sade said this edition of the Panthers has a talented group of upperclassmen.
“They have a very good senior class,” he said. ‘It’s probably one of the best classes they have had in a long time. It’s a good group of kids. They’re very athletic.”
The Eagles have been led by a powerful ground attack so far this season. ’Busco has rolled up more than 700 yards combined rushing in the season’s first two games.
