COLUMBIA CITY — Continuing a recognition program the Whitley County Economic Development Corporation launched during the organization’s 20th anniversary celebrations in 2012, the EDC recently recognized two locally-based employers.
Ag Plus LP and ChromaSource, Inc. were awarded for their efforts in supporting Whitley County’s economic development growth at an event held at Joseph Decuis Farm in Whitley County.
“During 2013 we have focused on ensuring our approach to economic development is 'built to last' as our programs and services continue to evolve in response to our clients and stakeholders,” said EDC President Alan Tio.
“With this recognition we are turning the spotlight on two industry pillars who have quietly made substantial contributions to our economic success.”
Since 2000, South Whitley based Ag Plus has invested nearly $15 million in upgrades to facilities in Churubusco, Peabody, Raber and South Whitley.
