COLUMBIA CITY — With news of her leaving the Salvation Army, Facebook comments flooded Pat Mossburg’s page.
“I didn’t even know I was that well-liked,” Mossburg responded to her Facebook comments.
Mossburg has been the ministries director for Whitley County’s Salvation Army for seven years.
Earlier this month, she announced she would be leaving her post, effective Oct. 31.
A special open house is planned in her honor Monday, Oct. 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Salvation Army’s office, inside the First Church of God in Columbia City.
“We will miss you Pat. You have accomplished so much over the last seven years. You have for sure paved the way,” said Salvation Army officials. “We continue to pray for you and for the advancement of the kingdom of God through The Salvation Army in Whitley County. May God bless The Salvation Army in Whitley County in the weeks, months and years to come.”
Currently, no one has been named to replace Mossburg, but there are plans to keep the Salvation Army in Whitley County.
